At the beginning of last quarter we moved to beautiful University Place (just across the Tacoma Narrows Bridge), Washington from my deep, dark cave in Ellensburg for an internship position I took with a local company. So far, I love being on the west side of the mountains and I am enjoying thoroughly my internship. I missed working with children and feeling like I can make a difference. Watching the progress my clients have made just in the short time I have known them has been so rewarding.
We have really made a home for ourselves here nearer our family and close friends. It has been great to be able to host friends and family. A little over a month ago we added a new member our household. Her name is Paquita, or Kita for short, and she is a seven month old snowshoe kitten. She likes hunting laser beams on the ceiling while open-mouthedly squealing, she likes chortling, wet chunky cat food in only turkey but maybe chicken flavor, and cuddling on the couch. She dislikes noises, dry cat food, wet cat food not turkey and maybe not chicken flavor but definitely tuna flavor, bulldogs who eat her wet chunky turkey-flavored cat food, and babies.

Never having had a cat before, and in fact being afraid of them for many years it came as a bit of a surprise to my family that I had adopted a kitten. As a cat owner now, I can say that for those of you still unfamiliar with kittens should know that after you own a cat youtube makes a lot more sense.
